The existing Holiday Inn Express had grown dated and was overdue for a full renovation. The owners opted to rebrand and upgrade the property at the same time and were able to secure the Hotel Indigo flag.
The conversion was a complete interior renovation of the guestrooms and public spaces along with an update to the exterior and resort style upgrade to the amenity deck.
As indigo dye was once a significant export of the region, securing the rand was of special interest to the design team and woven significantly through the redevelopment.
